- Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. A good photograph is one that communicates a fact, touches the heart and leaves the viewer a changed person for having seen it. It is, in a word, effective.So now almost everyone owns a camera. Yet, of all the commonplace tools available to us, the SLR camera is probably the least understood and certainly the most under-exploited. All too frequently the average amateur will purchase a fine modern camera and proceed to use it for making the most elementary simple snapshots. I think photographs should be provocative and not tell you what you already know. It takes no great powers or magic to reproduce somebody's face in a photograph. The magic is in seeing people in new ways. And always remember, The most important thing... is not clicking the shutter... it is clicking with the subject.. "The essential things in life are seen, not with the eyes but with the heart." - St. Exupery. So remember, photography is more than just holding a camera in your hands snapping photos..
